Curriculum

The curriculum in Years One and Two consists of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Art, Design and Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Religious Education and Personal, Social and Health Education. There is specialist teaching for Music, Physical Education and French. Appropriate learning support is given when necessary.

Extra curricular activities are also available

Educational visits are arranged in conjunction with topics studied. During this academic year trips have been divided into separate areas each half term, focussing on Liverpool being Capital of Culture. The children have visited the Art Galleries, Museums, Historic Buildings and Places of Worship in Liverpool. Visitors are also encouraged to come into school and work with the children throughout the year.


The children are encouraged to think of others and have recently raised over £2000 for the Hargreaves Centre- the NSPCC centre in Liverpool. At Christmas we fill shoeboxes with toys, toothpaste, soap and other items for Eastern European children. We also donated toys to the Radio City Toy Appeal. Harvest sees produce going to local care homes.
