Communication, Language and Literacy

This area involves children learning to speak clearly and confidently in a variety of situations, enjoying stories, songs and poems, hearing and saying sounds, and beginning to read and write for different purposes. Children are read to and supported as they begin to read and write. They are encouraged to use these skills in a range of situations and for a range of purposes and develop the confidence and disposition to do so.
