In the Pre-Prep, ICT is incorporated into all aspects of the
curriculum. Children have access to a computer in their classroom
throughout the day. In each year group there are interactive
whiteboards which are used as a tool for delivering lessons. ICT is
not restricted to the use of computers but encompasses a wide range
of technological equipment such as calculators, videos,
televisions, digital cameras and telephones, etc.
ICT contributes to many subjects within the primary curriculum and
opportunities are sought to draw ICT experiences out of a wide
range of activities. ICT possibilities are identified at the
planning stage across the curriculum. The children's attention
is also drawn to the links between ICT and other curricular work so
they can see that ICT is not an isolated subject. This allows the
children to begin to use and apply ICT in real contexts.
