RECEPTION 2024 Admissions

On 16th April 2024 you will be notified by the local authority which school your child has been allocated. We appreciate that with the large number of applications to the school there will be many children who are disappointed not to have been allocated a place here.

515 families listed Liverpool College as one of their preferences and there are 84 places.

We have applied the Admission Policy which states clearly how applications are dealt with. Please see the Key Information HERE for a reminder of how places are allocated.

Parents have the right to appeal against an admission authority's decision refusing their child admission to a school under section 94(I)(b) and (2) of the 1998 Act.  If you wish to submit an appeal you should contact Sally Loveridge (contact details above) to request a form. You should submit this form by 17th May 2024 clearly setting out the reasons for your appeal.  You may include any letters, correspondence, written reports or documents that support your case. 

Prior to your appeal hearing you will receive a written statement from Liverpool College advising you how the admissions policy was applied in your case, and a general statement explaining the implications for the school of admitting pupils over roll.  For any advice on Appeals please contact Sally Loveridge (as above). RECEPTION 2024 ADMISSION APPEAL TIMETABLE:

  • Tuesday 16th April 2024 - parents will hear from their local authority regarding the school allocated to their child.
  • Friday 17th May 2024 - deadline for submitting your appeal to Liverpool College.
  • Week commencing 8th July 2024 is the provisional date for appeal hearings.
