Chess Club

The Chess Club seems to be growing in popularity each week and this term we have welcomed new members from the Prep School. Instruction is provided by a former member of the teaching staff, Mr Purland and his colleague. The pupils meet each Tuesday from 4.00 to 5.30 in C6 where the competition is fierce! Regular members include several of our sixth form boarding students, along with many boys in year 8 and 9.

We would be very pleased to welcome all new players of any abilities, especially y7 pupils and girls of any age. We will be staging our own intra-school tournament very soon and any pupils wishing to register an interest should see Mr Griffith as soon as possible.
