International Baccalaureate:
At least five GCSE passes at Grade C or above, including Maths and English
and
At least GCSE Grade B in the proposed three Higher Level subjects (Grade A for Maths Higher Level and Language B Higher Level).
Some Higher Level subjects are available to students who have not studied the subject at GCSE level (Geography, History, Economics, Business & Management). Entry criteria for these courses are based on the student's overall GCSE profile and aptitude for the subject
GCE A level:
At least five GCSE passes at Grade C or above
and
At least GCSE Grade B in the proposed four A Level subjects or, if not studied before, a strong interest in and clear aptitude for the subject.
Where a keen Sixth Form applicant does not fully meet these criteria, discussion will take place between the student, parents and relevant school staff to determine the best course of action.
