Geography

Each child at Liverpool College is taught one hour of Geography each week. These lessons follow the National Curriculum and QCA guidelines. Within the curriculum the children have opportunities to study a range of places including; the local area, other parts of the country and abroad.

There are many opportunities for the children to carry out their own fieldwork. The Year 3 spend time looking at how the local area has changed. In Year 4 the children study Chembakolli, a small village in India and then in Year 5 they visit Llandudno and compare and contrast it with Liverpool.

Throughout their studies, the children at Liverpool College have opportunities to develop their geographical skills as well as becoming more aware of social, political, economic and environmental issues.
