The Year 10 cadets visit Merseysports on a weekly basis and the Year 11s will start this week, participating in windsurfing, sailing, canoeing or kayaking during period 7. From September 2009, it is proposed that CCF will take place on Thursday afternoons and there will be opportunities to use the facilities at HMS Eaglet, Southport Marine Lake as well as Merseysports.
Preparations are in place for the Year 9 and Year 10 summer camps in Lancaster and Ullswater respectively.
This year has also seen the biggest number of applicants for the CCF(RN) water based activity courses in Scotland, Portsmouth and Plymouth, the most popular being sailing, power boating and the general camps, details of which can be found on the website www.rncom.mod.uk
