A2 Performing Arts students had the challenge of responding to a commission brief, as part of their final unit of their course. They were required to take inspiration from an existing repertoire; this group decided upon the story of Anne Frank. Over the past weeks students developed their own interpretation of Anne Frank for a specific target audience. They researched the political situation in Afghanistan and recreated the original story highlighting the plight of a family trapped in Kabul.
I was impressed with a highly competent performance for a visiting moderator on Monday 29th June. Bryony, James, Hannah, Charlotte and Jenny created a highly emotive and absorbing performance. They were sensitive to the subject matter at all times and displayed considerable technical accuracy.
I wish them the best of luck in their future careers!!
