Duke of Edinburgh's Award – Bronze

During year 9 CCF Cadets are invited to enrol in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. So as to inform you of what that entails I propose to hold a parents information evening on Thursday 7th March 2013 at 1830hrs in the Upper School Drama Room. The aim of the presentation is to pass on information about the award and enlighten you on how the award will be run here at school; it will also include dates for expeditions and training requirements for expeditions.

In September 2009 the award moved to the electronic age and as a consequence we will be introducing the eDofE form of administering progress to our school. This will give you, as parents, more insight as to the progress your child is making through the award process.

To assist with the seating arrangements, if you plan to attend the meeting, please click here, complete and return it to me via form tutors or you can email me direct.

Please find attached a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Bronze Section Registration Form. I will take completed forms in at the meeting or the next CCF lesson. Please note that there is a participant registration fee of £20. In the meantime, information on the award can be found at www.theaward.org
