Careers Fair Success

This week Chapter 9 and Chapter 11 had the superb opportunity of engaging with a vast array of professionals through the school's annual Careers fair.

The event connected pupils with local business leaders, universities, apprenticeship providers, national institutions, public service operatives and higher education providers, enabling our lucky students to gather information about a vast array of possible careers opportunities and the varying routes into those professions. The feedback from the pupils was absolutely excellent, with one describing it as the best thing they have done all year. Others walked away ecstatic having secured possible work experience opportunities. Many others commented on how inspired they had been to pursue careers they hadn’t previously considered. It was also wonderful to observe students recognising the importance of focus in their academic studies to enable them to secure routes into their dream jobs. It is not an exaggeration to say the impact of this event for some of our students was life changing. Sincere thanks goes out to Mrs Doran for organising the event and to all our wonderful professional volunteers who gave up their valuable time to inspire a new generation.

Represented at the fair were the NHS, civil service, construction, civil engineers, architects, solicitors, engineers, dentistry, finance, environmental sciences, RAF, accountancy, teaching, game development, composer working in game development, financial planners, mechanical engineers, computer programmer, actuary, nuclear engineers, cardiac physiologist, nutritionist and highways engineers. Multiple Educational Providers were also welcomed to the event, allowing students to learn about the immense range of courses and opportunities on offer. Represented at the event were Apprenticeships, LIPA, UTC, The Studio, Hope University, Rocket Training, Edge Hill University, Greenbank Sports Academy, City Of Liverpool, Chester University, Liverpool Business school and multiple departments from Liverpool University. Our thanks to everyone who attended.
