Cultural Capital

The Chapter 12 geographers enjoyed a visit to London last week where they listened to a talk from the New London Architecture group about flows of migration to the city and viewed the stunning model of London's urban form which can be seen at the London Centre. After a lovely walk, the group then carried out some fieldwork in preparation for their NEA work and gained a better understanding of the history and culture of Spitalfields and Banglatown in Tower Hamlets which is a key location on the specification. For some of the group it was their first trip to London and the visit served as a great example of how we promote the personal development of our students.
