A tight encounter ends in success for the Chapter 8 football team versus Blue Coat

Last Friday, the Chapter 8 football team made the short trip to play Blue Coat School on a cold but sunny afternoon. Liverpool College started brightly and from a short back pass were gifted the chance of the opener when the ball fell to Kingston AG but the shot was brilliantly saved by the Blue Coat goalkeeper. This was the story of the match as despite periods of possession by Blue Coat it was the away team that created chances but either the final ball let them down or the goalkeeper came to the home team's rescue. As the game drifted into the final ten-minutes Liverpool College received a corner and captain Erdis R thundered in a header towards goal and despite attempts to keep the ball out of the net Liverpool College scored the goal which eventually won them the game.

This was Chapter 8s seventh football match this academic year winning 6 and drawing 1. On Monday, the team travel to Neston High School in the fourth round of the ESFA Cup.
