Ice Skating

The beginning of the boarders' Christmas celebrations started with Ice Skating. For many this was their first time on on ice and they were really brave. Others were wizzing around the ice. I was rather proud of myself for not falling over too!

Dogs Trust

Many of the boarding students have pets at home which they miss greatly. Therefore, they decided that for their Christmas charity they would like to collect for the Dogs Trust. We filled a box full of toys, snacks and treats for the dogs to enjoy on Christmas day.

Chapter 8 Football team return to winning ways by beating Gateacre

On Thursday, the Chapter 8 football team made the short trip to Gateacre School in an afternoon kick off. Liverpool College started brightly on a difficult pitch and took the lead in the opening minutes through a penalty from Ben M. As the first half progressed Gateacre grew into the game without creating any clear-cut chances. The second half produced a better performance from the away team and as dominance from the midfield grew Liverpool College increased their advantage with goals from centre back Jack P and left sided midfielder Khalil M. A penalty from Gateacre didn't stop Liverpool College from celebrating another win on their travels. Last week Chapter 8 were knocked out of the National's in the 4th round and this match was a morale boasting win.

Christmas has arrived in the Boarding House

As we celebrated the first Sunday of Advent, we decided to put up our Christmas tree.

The children worked really hard together to decorate it and are really proud of their efforts.

I think it looks beautiful.

Day Boarding

During day boarding arts and crafts sessions on a Tuesday, pupils have been creating origami poppies. We added key words that we associate with Remembrance Day to the centre of each Poppy and created 3 wreaths. We gave two to the school Chapel and gave one to Redholme care home along with a lovely box of chocolates.
