At Liverpool College, boarding is intentionally small, deeply personal, and built around the individual.
In a world where many boarding schools are large and impersonal, we offer something rare — a close-knit community where every student is truly known, supported, and encouraged to thrive.
This is not just a place to stay.
It’s a place to belong.
Why Families Choose Us
Choosing boarding is one of the most important decisions a family can make.
What matters most is simple:
Will my child be happy?
Will they feel safe?
Will they succeed?
At Liverpool College, the answer is yes.
Our small boarding community ensures that no student is overlooked. Staff know each individual — their strengths, their challenges, and what helps them succeed. Relationships are strong, support is immediate, and students develop the confidence to flourish both academically and personally.
Small by Design. Powerful by Impact.
We believe boarding works best when it is personal.
With a limited number of boarders, we are able to offer:
Genuine relationships between staff and students
Individualised academic and pastoral support
A calm, structured, and supportive environment
A strong sense of community and belonging
Students are not lost in the system — they are seen, heard, and valued.
A Home That Feels Like Home
From the moment students arrive, they become part of something special.
Evenings are relaxed and sociable. Shared meals, conversations, and downtime create a natural sense of community. Friendships form quickly and grow deeply.
For many students, boarding becomes their second home — a place where they feel comfortable, confident, and supported.
Life Beyond the Classroom

In 1840, Liverpool College was founded on a commitment to educate the whole person. Although we made this pledge over 170 years ago, it has never been more relevant than now.
We pursue our mission of Learning with Character through the LCA+ curriculum. LCA+ is a challenging, broad and engaging curriculum consisting of seven academic and subject strands and seven strands of personal and social education and development.
